Multiple firearms seized, stolen motorcycle recovered after search at North Knoxville home

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A stolen Harley-Davidson was recovered by Knoxville Police officers during a search at the Gillespie Avenue home. On Thursday, April 24, officers executed a search warrant at the home as an investigation led by the Organized Crime Unit into David Prins, 59, for the sale of meth, heroin and fentanyl. The search resulted in the seizure of 21 grams of suspected meth, over three grams of suspected heroin and fentanyl, two handguns and three rifles. According to court records. the motorcycle was reported stolen in Maynardville. The officer contacted the victim, who confirmed it was theirs. The motorcycle was taken to the City of Knoxville Impound. Prins was not home during the search, but was stopped and detained by officers. He has been charged with convicted felon in possession of a weapon, possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, manufacture, delivery and sale of meth and theft of property.
