Tree seedling giveaway set for Yellow Creek Park
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Conservation District says it will give out over 3,000 tree seedlings on April 24.
Officials say people should visit Yellow Creek Park at 5710 Kentucky Highway 144 on the east side of Owensboro. The distribution begins at 8 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. or while supplies last.
Bridge replacement project planned on U.S. 431 near Owensboro
County officials say the types of seedlings include: Eastern Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, Cypress, Pecan, Persimmon, Black Cherry, Black Walnut, Yellow-Poplar, White Oak and White Pine. There is a limit of 10 seedlings per person.
