Spurious liquor factory busted, 1 held
Chatra: Police late on Saturday night busted a spurious liquor factory and recovered liquor worth Rs 9 lakh.
Under the leadership of Giddhaur police station officer in-charge Kumar Gautam, around 95 boxes containing 2,280 bottles of spurious English liquor were seized, having a market value of around Rs 9 lakh.

The police team arrested Dayal Munda (20) of Marangi village.
Simaria sub-divisional police officer Shubham Khandelwal said that they were tipped off by Chatra SP Sumit Agarwal about illegal foreign liquor being made in Marangi village of Pahara Panchayat in Giddhore block. Subsequently, a raid team was formed under the leadership of Gautam.
Other accused involved in this business would be arrested soon, Khandelwal said.
