Over 1,000 expected at Girl Guides' Jom Sihat Carnival 2025 in MBKS foyer this Aug

KUCHING (June 6): The Girl Guides Association Malaysia Sarawak Branch will host the 'Jom Sihat Carnival 2025' at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) foyer on Aug 24.
Its president Dato Dayang Morliah Awang Daud announced that the carnival will run from 6.30am to noon, featuring a vibrant line-up of activities including Zumba sessions, a 3km fun run, health screenings, and blood donation campaign.
'In addition to raising public awareness on the importance of health care, the carnival also serves as a platform to empower young women through positive activities and self-development,' she said in a statement issued via the Sarawak Public Communications Unit.
She added that this year's event also aims to raise funds to support the association's programmes such as training, skills development, camps, and the purchase of essential equipment including laptops for use by members.
Dayang Morliah expects the event to draw over 1,000 participants, with visitors having the chance to win lucky draw prizes and enjoy the many stalls offering food, beverages, and health-related products.
The opening ceremony and flag-off will be officiated by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
Early bird registration for the Jom Sihat Carnival 2025 is now open until June 30. Basic packages are priced at RM15 for one person, RM28 (two persons), RM40 (three persons), and RM52 (four persons).
Premium packages are available at RM30 per person, RM58 (two persons), RM85 (three persons), and RM112 (four persons).
Participants who purchase the basic package will be entitled to lucky draw entry, Zumba session, free health screening, door gift, and e-certificate.
Those opting for the premium package will receive all of the above, plus an RM20 cash voucher redeemable at Girl Guides food stalls.
