Shreya Ghoshal charmed the audience in an ivory sari decorated with Resham embroidery, sequins and crystals.
At the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit's opening ceremony, which took place at the Jio World Convention Centre, Shreya Ghoshal made a stunning appearance. India's most adored singer combined heritage and modern flair in a stunning ensemble that attracted attention for all the right reasons on the first night, which was dripping with glamour and tradition.
Shreya Ghoshal wore a classic ivory sari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla from ASAL for her turn in the spotlight, radiating the kind of subtle glitz that only she can deliver. The six-yard masterpiece, which was adorned with sequins and crystals and woven with rainbow Resham embroidery, was a celebration of exquisite luxury and artisanal craftsmanship.
The costume embodied Indian grandeur with its delicate details and flowing drape, which is regal, traditional, yet modern.
With its elegant lines and echoing sari embroidery, the blouse, designed for subtle drama, gave the singer a statuesque silhouette without dominating her characteristic tenderness.
Shreya Ghoshal's jewellery selections were discreet yet powerful. Using carefully chosen pieces from top design houses, she accessorised her look with bracelets from Arka Jewellery, rings from Dazzle by Sonia and Mirana by Megha and drop earrings from Roopa Vohra Fine Jewellery. The singer's classic style was preserved as the accessories enhanced her appearance without going overboard.
As expected, she had an elegant, beautiful look. She accentuated her inherent beauty with kohl-rimmed eyes, muted pink lips, a soft, luminous base and a sweep of highlighter over her cheekbones. Her hair was put up in a sleek, low bun, which is a timeless, stylish and controlled look.
Shreya's presence was more than just musical when she walked centre stage to begin the ceremony with a moving Bengali performance; it was sartorial poetry. Her moment stood out in a sea of high-octane fashion moments because it was elegant, modest and respectful of tradition.
In addition to Shreya Ghoshal's enchanted performance, the audience was also impressed by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani and a 30-member orchestra. The Sutradhar Reinvented, a culturally rich homage to India's storytelling and filmmaking traditions, was narrated by actor Sharad Kelkar.
