Man arrested in Walton County with pistol and blade after trespassing
WALTON COUNTY, FLa. (WMBB) – The Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Deer Run East after a resident reported that they confronted someone inside a fenced-in area of their property allegedly armed with a gun.
An Everbridge notification was sent to nearby residents to be on alert and expect a large presence of law enforcement in the area.
Walton Correctional K-9 teams, Office of City Marshal, DeFuniak Springs Police, and Okaloosa Correctional K-9 Teams were called to assist.
One dead following crash in Liberty County
After an extensive search, 47-year-old Christopher Miller was located by K-9 Teams and WCSO Sergeant.
Officials said Miller was found carrying a loaded Glock 19 X and a blade.
Miller currently has an active warrant out of DeFuniak Springs Police for theft and is also being charged with possession of methamphetamine, armed trespassing, and more. He is en route to the Walton County Jail.
