The film marked a significant turning point in her acting career, followed by praise for her role in the web series Mismatched alongside Rannvijay Singh. A Tragic Loss At 27 Behind the scenes, Vidya Malvade's personal life was marked by immense tragedy. She married Captain Arvind Singh Bagga, an Indian Airlines pilot, in 1997. However, just three years later, on July 14, 2000, her husband tragically lost his life in a plane crash in Patna. At just 27, Vidya Malvade was left a widow, devastated and alone. The loss plunged her into a deep depression. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vidya Malvade admitted she contemplated suicide and had once even purchased sleeping pills, intending to end her life. It was only the thought of her parents that prevented her from going through with it. A Turning Point Realising she could not inflict the same pain on her parents, Vidya Malvade chose life. She began her journey of healing through modelling, which eventually led to her film debut in Inteha (2003). Her resilience became her foundation as she gradually rebuilt her career and identity. Finding Love Again In the course of her career, Vidya Malvade met film director Sanjay Dayma. The two formed a bond that blossomed into love and later marriage, giving her a second chance at happiness.
