Arrest made after stabbing in Frazier Park
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 30-year-old San Diego man was arrested after a stabbing last week in Frazier Park, sheriff's officials said.
Deandre Thomas Andrews was arrested early Thursday and is being held on $30,000 bail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, inmate booking records show.
Officials said deputies were called to the 700 block of Avalon Trail and learned the assailant had fled in a black Chevy Avalanche. The pickup was found on Cuddy Valley Road near Tecuya Drive.
Deputies stopped the pickup and took Andrews, the only occupant, into custody, officials said.
The victim was found in the 3200 block of Mt. Pinos Way and 'had injuries consistent with being stabbed,' officials said. The victim was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff's Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
