Summit Township is the second smallest area and second youngest township in Erie County. Founded in 1854, Summit is 72 years older and 22.2 square miles larger than Lawrence Park, the youngest and smallest township in the county, according to But Summit Township also has a median age of 50, has a median household income of $70,542 and an 81.4% homeownership rate.
