Man wanted in gun store burglary in Oconee Co.
OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said they are looking for a man in connection to a burglary that took place at an Oconee County gun store.
On Saturday May 24, deputies were dispatched to the Deep South Defense store on Highway 123 near Old Clemson Highway, regarding reports of a burglary. Upon arrival, deputies were told by the owner that the back door of the business was broken.
Authorities said that an AR-15 style rifle had been stolen from the store. Security footage showed a white man entering and exiting the building, as well as walking by the next door business.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the investigation.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information about the incident to contact their office or submit an anonymous tip at 1-844-71-CRIME.
