Former captain Renard, striker Le Sommer miss out on France's Euros squad
France will be without former captain Wendie Renard, striker Eugenie Le Sommer and midfielder Kenza Dali at this summer's Euros after coach Laurent Bonadei opted on Thursday to leave them out of his squad.
The absence of the veteran trio, who are all in their thirties and have 444 caps between them, was evidence of Bonadei's desire to refresh the team as it chases its first major title.
None of them had been in the squad for last week's Nations League matches against Switzerland and Iceland.

Strikers Delphine Cascarino and Kadidiatou Diani, as well as defender Maelle Lakrar, who had to leave last week's Nations League squad, were included in the 23 named for the trip to Switzerland.
With six wins from six Nations League matches, France is unbeaten in 2025 although it is an outsider for the Euros.
France continues its Euro preparations with warm-ups against Belgium and Brazil before kicking off its European Championship on July 5 against England in Zurich.
