Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has once again sparked controversy with his recent comments about India. Afridi has now claimed that India is 10 years behind Pakistan in terms of growth and development. He also said that India dreams of competing with Pakistan but can never be its equal.
'India is 10 years behind Pakistan and dreams of defeating us and being our equal. Pakistan in the fastest-growing country in the world with the most advanced technology. Even calling India our enemy is an insult to Pakistan,' Afridi said in his latest comment.

Shahid Afridi is a gone case. After that one-off 37-ball century, he's been obsessed with chasing the same glory, but the truth is—he's done nothing significant since. His entire career rests on a handful of flashy moments,1/2 — DemocracyDive 🛡️ (@Frktweetz) June 8, 2025

This is not the first time Afridi has made an absurd comment about India. After the recent skirmishes at the border between the two countries, Afridi asked India to provide proof of Pakistan's involvement in the Pahalgam attack and called the Indian Army 'useless.'

'Even if a cracker bursts in India, they blame it on Pakistan. You have an 8 lakh-strong army in Kashmir, yet this happened. This means you are useless, not being able to provide security to people,' Afridi had said on Pakistani news channel Samaa TV.
