Diners can choose their culinary experience during Denver Restaurant Week at restaurants like Mister Oso in RiNo

Denver Restaurant Week is a great time to try a wide variety of food at affordable prices. It's also when Denver's favorite spots put their best food forward. Mister Oso has been open in Denver RiNo Arts District since 2019. It's known for flavorful Latin cuisine including ceviche, snacks and smoked meat tacos. It is a Denver Restaurant Week regular. "There's a price point that makes sense for us financially, but also allows us to showcase the Mister Oso experience, that's kind of why we like it," said Blake Edmunds, Chef/Partner at Mister Oso. Edmunds has crafted his special Restaurant Week menu so diners get the full Mister Oso experience. "I think with Denver Restaurant Week, the idea was to put together a menu that was a great intro into what Mister Oso is for people who don't know us, playing off the hits and the classics, right?! And then, we wanted to make it an experience where people got to try a little bit of everything off the menu," Edmunds explained. VISIT Denver organizes Denver Restaurant Week as a celebration of the City's diverse and delectable culinary scene.

Denver Restaurant Week offers opportunity to try new cuisines, such as Filipino food

At Magna Kainan, Chef de Cuisine Jodee Reyes has some Filipino specialties on the grill. "We are acidic ... umami. We're the kind of food that you want to keep eating even though you're very full," Reyes told CBS News Colorado. Filipino food is gaining popularity in the United States, and Chef Reyes is thrilled to bring it to Denver. "I really had a passion to come back to what I grew up eating because those were the happiest times of my life, you know, spending time with family," she explained. Magna Kainan opened in November, so this is its first time participating in Denver Restaurant Week. "Our biggest goal is just to let people know that Filipino cuisine is really good," Reyes said. Since opening, the menu at Magna Kainan has been a gentle introduction to Filipino food. "Just to get people a little familiar with our flavor profiles," Reyes said Restaurant Week marks the start of a menu that fully explores the deeper Filipino favors, and Reyes hopes that everyone comes out to give it a try. Denver Restaurant Week is organized by VISIT Denver and runs through March 16, 2025

Denver restaurants aim for success during Restaurant Week amid high egg prices

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Restaurant Week has provided customers with great deals for two decades. This year's event comes amid rising insurance costs and egg prices, and restaurants are offering more than just fixed price menus to make the most of the opportunity. Last year, participating restaurants sold more than 144,000 meals resulting in $10.5 million in revenue. Denver Restaurant Week: Menu, prices and new features announced for 2025 The Colorado Restaurant Association provided a statement to FOX31 saying community support is crucial this year. 'Denver Restaurant Week is vitally important to our local restaurant community, which is facing unprecedented challenges right now. Not only are costs out of control, including utilities, labor, insurance, eggs, and other ingredients, but diners aren't going out to eat as much these days, either,' the Colorado Restaurant Association said. 'A new report from Toast shows that Denver restaurants saw a 9% decline in transactions between Q4 2023 and Q4 2024, which is really scary for an industry with razor-thin margins. Please dine out as much as you can during Restaurant Week – our dining scene needs all the support it can get.' Alexis Treton, owner of La Bouche wine bar, located at 17th and Downing, told FOX31 he looks forward to providing new customers with a sample of his menu items and unique experience. 'It's all about sharing a moment with food and good wine,' he said. Treton said he has had to get creative when it comes to items that require eggs. 'Every two days, they are out of stock, so you just have to be smart,' he said. Larger restaurants like the Thirsty Lion Scratch Kitchen near Union Station are experiencing the same challenge as the price of eggs remains higher than usual. 'For us, about a $100 a case, but we are going to make it work,' said general manager Randy Strothers. Restaurants owners who testified in support of tipped wage bill were doxxed: Democrats The restaurant has brought back its popular Scotch Eggs appetizer ahead of St. Patrick's Day. 'Scotch eggs are boiled egg, wrapped gently with sausage, panko bread crumbs and then deep fry to a golden brown,' he said. The business is also drawing in customers with a traditional Irish menu featuring shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, potato cakes and corned beef macaroni and cheese through March 17. Portions of each craft cocktail sold will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation supporting pediatric cancer research. To date, the Thirsty Lion has raised more than $298,000 for pediatric cancer research, matching the money raised through special food and drink offerings. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Denver Restaurant Week features Champagne Tiger with French American cuisine

It is time to enjoy some delicious restaurants around the Denver metro area for Denver Restaurant Week that kicks off on Friday. There are more than 300 restaurants to enjoy from March 7 through March 16. The Champagne Tiger is a combination of French and American food that will make your mouth water. There are some foods you have to try when you visit. "Wealthy Oysters from Cape Cod, Massachusetts," Chris Donato, Owner of Champagne Tiger said. "They are salty and briney. They are medium and small size. They are really delicious. You also have to try our Mortadella Melt. It is made with Tempesta Mortadella from Chicago. It is a rich and decadent sandwich." With each meal, it is designed to give you a flavorful experience. "I hope you get a sense of nostalgia for the food," Josh Hood, Chef for Champagne Tiger. "Hopefully, it hits some sort of points of your inner childhood, where you are coming from or local things that are special to Denver." While you enjoy a meal, you can enjoy a show. They have pasta and piano nights every Wednesday, fried chicken and jazz nights every Thursday, and drag brunch every Sunday. This space is welcome to everyone. "It is a celebratory, joyous atmosphere that kind of celebrates the queer community," Donato said. "Everybody is invited. The food kind of matches the amazing nature of the show." When the summer arrives, you can enjoy their firepits, fountains, and some cool shade under the cabanas. This is set to open in May.
