Ocean City wants your help: How to envision a thriving, sustainable future for the town
The Ocean City Department of Tourism's year-long celebration — held in honor of the resort town's 150th anniversary — is well underway, and the town invites you to become an integral part of the special commemoration.
The town's Department of Tourism and Business Development is asking community members, business leaders and employees to take part in a transformative workshop to shape the future of Ocean City. Here's what we know.

The special event, 'Charting the Course: Co-Creating a Shared Vision for Ocean City's Tomorrow,' will take place on March 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Ocean City Convention Center, located at 4001 Coastal Highway.
The interactive workshop will be led by Rachel Druckenmiller, an expert in leadership and workplace culture, who will guide attendees in envisioning a thriving, engaging and sustainable future for Ocean City.
'Ocean City isn't just where we live, work, and play — it's a special place that's truly 'somewhere to smile about,'' Tom Perlozzo, Director of Tourism and Business Development for Ocean City Tourism, said. 'Every voice matters in shaping our town's future, and this event is a unique opportunity for our community to come together and collaborate on what's next.'

Participants will explore Ocean City's current successes, imagine possibilities for the town's future, and identify actionable steps to enhance Ocean City's workplace culture and visitor experience. The session will harness the energy, creativity and strengths of attendees to inspire a unified vision for the town's growth and success, the town said in a news release.
Whether you're a business owner, an employee, a community leader or someone who simply loves Ocean City, this workshop is a chance to contribute to a shared vision that reflects the heart and soul of the town, the release stated. Together, attendees will 'ride the waves of possibility' and help ensure that Ocean City's future remains bright and welcoming for all.
