Delhi Metro Turns Into Karaoke Lounge As Uncles Croone To Manna Dey Special

Four elderly men travelling via the yellow line sang the Hindi Bollywood classic 'Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua' inside the Delhi Metro. Elderly men from Delhi transformed a metro coach into a karaoke lounge in a viral video that polarised opinions on the internet. In a clip shared on Reddit, a group of Desi Uncles held the mic and sang the Hindi Bollywood classic 'Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua' from legendary actor Raj Kapoor's Shree 420. The video once again brought the metro to the centre of social media's attention, evoking mixed opinions. The exact timing and location of the video could not be verified. However, according to the post made by Redditor Upstairs-Bit6897, the video was shot while the metro travelled through the yellow line on Tuesday, April 22. The four men joyfully sang the popular 1955 film song and entertained the rest of the travellers, creating a Karaoke-like atmosphere with the presence of the microphone. The clip adds to the series of amusing videos that have gone viral from the Delhi metro, which has become a source of great content for social media users in India and across the globe in recent years. The latest footage of elderly men singing the Bollywood classic garnered significant traction and also divided opinions on Reddit. 'Uncles living their best life. Honestly, this made my day,' a Redditor said, before another commented: 'What a throwback! They've got great taste in music, I'll give them that.' A third joked how the Delhi metro is never short of such content. 'Delhi Metro never disappoints. From dance shows to this karaoke session – we've seen it all now!' he said. Not everyone was pleased with the viral footage, though. One Reddit user pointed out that the singing may not be too pleasant for those who wish to travel in silence and peace. 'This is sweet and all, but it can get annoying if you're trying to commute in peace,' the user said, before finding support from another, who wrote, 'Public transport is not a concert hall. What if someone else wants silence?' Some with a balanced take responded by mentioning that the elderly men were not disturbing the peace of the travellers with any loud music. 'As long as they aren't bothering anyone or being too loud, it's just some innocent fun,' a user said, joined by another who mentioned the uncles are better than those who shout in public places. 'At least it's better than people shouting on phone calls!' the user wrote.
