Woman dies in rollover crash on I-81N in Wythe County
WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal car accident that occurred on Friday, May 16 at 11:35 p.m. on Interstate 81 North at mile marker 73 in Wythe County.
According to police, a 1998 Mazda B-Series truck was traveling north on I-81 when it suddenly went off the left side of the road. The Mazda then overcorrected, causing it to go off the right side of the road and flip over.

The driver, identified as 46-year-old Desire M. Dalton of Ivanhoe, Va., was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Dalton was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
