Detroit police seek tips on two suspects in April 20 armed robbery

The robbery happened around noon April 20 in the first block of East State Fair Street near John R Street. The victim was a 57-year-old man who was approached by two other men. After they exchanged words, one of the suspects pulled out a gun while the other suspected assaulted the victim. The two then drove off in a gray Ford Fusion with the victim's money and personal items. The victim was treated at an area hospital for his injuries. Detroit police seek information on two females seen near west side shooting incident
The Detroit Police Department is seeking tips from the public about a shooting in which a 13-year-old boy was injured. Detectives say they want to speak to two people of interest who were near the location about the time of the incident. The shooting happened about 3:53 p.m. Wednesday in the 17100 block of West Seven Mile Road, on the city's west side. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries and was initially reported in serious condition. Police said at the time that the shooting appeared to have resulted from an argument between the victim and two other people. The two people that police want to speak to were described as follows: A female wearing a white tank top and black track pants. A female wearing a black jogging outfit. Detroit police seeking community assistance after 3 bodies found in westside vehicle fire
Early Sunday morning, three bodies — burnt beyond recognition — were found inside of a smoldering vehicle on Detroit's west side. Jacqueline Pritchett, a deputy at the Detroit Police Department, said in a video press release that the Detroit Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near 30th Street and Milford Avenue around 5:50 am. Pritchett said the DPD Homicide Task Force is investigating the deaths further. Police said the woman had left her home for about an hour. Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information. DETROIT (FOX 2) - Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 for information that helps them solve a suspected double murder in Detroit. A woman left her home in the 8700 block of Desoto for about an hour on March 11. When she returned to the home near Wyoming and Fenkell around 5:25 p.m., she found that the door was locked, and she couldn't get inside. The woman was able to get into the house through a window. Police said she found the body of a woman dead at the bottom of the basement stairs. The resident left and called 911. First repsonders who searched the home found another body, that of a man, police said. The victims were later identified as 60-year-old Dwayne Pinkston and 68-year-old Barbara Jackson. It isn't clear how the pair died. Two bodies found in Detroit home identified as police search for answers
Two people who were found dead in the basement of a Detroit home have been identified, according to police. The bodies of 60-year-old Dwayne Pinkston and 68-year-old Barbara Jackson were found last Tuesday inside a home in the 8700 block of Desoto Street. Police say a woman who lived at the home told investigators that she left and returned about an hour later and discovered that the front door was locked. She told officers that she had to climb through the window to get in and that's when she saw one of the bodies at the bottom of the basement steps, according to Detroit police. After the woman called 911, responding officers checked the basement and found the second body. On Monday, the Detroit Police Department released photos of the two victims in hopes of anyone to come forward with information. Anyone who has information on the murders is asked to call the homicide unit at 313-596-2260 or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at 800-Speak Up or on .
