The mythological action drama 'Kannappa', starring Vishnu Manchu, will be released this month and the makers have recently released the trailer of the film which gives a glimpse into the world of the film.
As per the recent report, the makers have got a special deal for the OTT release of the film.
According to a report by OTTPlay, Vishnu Manchu has signed a unique OTT deal structured around the film's box office performance. The agreement reportedly includes two key clauses.
A strategic OTT clause
The first clause indicates that if 'Kannappa' turns out to be a box office success, the film will only arrive on OTT platforms after an extended eight-week theatrical run.
This will be longer than the standard four-week window that many films follow today.
On the other hand, the second clause in the contract prepares for the possibility of the film underperforming. If 'Kannappa' falls short at the box office, the movie will make its OTT debut within a month of its theatrical release. This will balance both commercial risk and digital opportunity so that the film finds an audience regardless of its box office performance.
