Laser exhibits, multimedia shows to be introduced at Devipatan temple
Lucknow: In a major push to boost religious tourism in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath govt is set to transform the Devipatan temple at Tulsipur in Balrampur into a modern spiritual destination.
The temple complex will feature a floating musical fountain, multimedia laser show, beam projection and video projection on a water screen.
These additions are designed to enhance the devotional and aesthetic experience for visitors while highlighting the temple's cultural significance. The project aims to attract more pilgrims and tourists, strengthening the local economy and creating new employment opportunities.
With this move, the Yogi govt continues its commitment to blending heritage with modernity to promote spiritual tourism in the state.
The floating musical fountain will enchant devotees and tourists with vibrant lights and music. Additionally, a multimedia laser show will bring to life the stories of Maa Pateshwari and the region's cultural heritage. A 15-20 minute video display on a water screen will showcase the temple's history, accompanied by professional voiceovers and animations in both Hindi and English.

The govt is focused on using durable and world-class equipment, ensuring it lasts at least 10 years to enhance the grandeur of this project. The entire process, from design approval to installation, is targeted for completion in just 180 days. The timeline includes 30 days for design approval, 60 days for equipment supply, 60 days for installation, and 30 days to activate the system. Afterward, the system will be maintained, cleaned, and repaired for free for five years, elevating the temple's beauty and tourism to new heights.
This project is part of a broader vision by the Yogi govt to promote religious tourism in the state, attracting both domestic and international tourists. Previous initiatives, such as the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Ram temple in Ayodhya and the organisation of the Maha Kumbh Mela, highlight the govt's commitment.
This project will not only promote religious tourism but also stimulate economic development in Balrampur and surrounding areas.
Local businesses, hotels, and transport services will benefit from the increased number of devotees. Additionally, employment opportunities will be created for locals.
