UAE: Fathers' Endowment raises Dh3.3 billion with support from over 160,000 contributors
The Fathers' Endowment campaign has raised an astounding Dh3.304 billion in donations since its launch. Launched during Ramadan to honour fathers in the UAE, the initiative seeks to establish a sustainable endowment fund dedicated to providing healthcare and treatment for those in need. The campaign has attracted more than 160,560 contributors, reflecting an overwhelming response, with contributions from individuals, businesses, and both public and private sector organisations, since its launch by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign's goal is not only to address immediate health and treatment needs but also to improve the quality of life and overall well-being of vulnerable communities, fostering stability and promoting broader societal development. Record-breaking contributions Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), highlighted that the impressive results, surpassing initial targets, reflect the far-reaching impact of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's Ramadan campaigns. He also noted that these initiatives have sparked a humanitarian movement that resonates deeply within the UAE, inspiring generosity and reinforcing the nation's global leadership in charitable and humanitarian efforts. 'The Fathers' Endowment campaign, which honours fathers by creating a sustainable endowment fund dedicated to providing treatment and healthcare for the poor and needy, supports vulnerable populations in a critical area directly impacting their quality of life, stability, and ability to contribute to their communities' development," Al Gergawi said. "This initiative will effectively address the medical and health needs of these communities and offer new hope," he added. Donation channels The Fathers' Endowment campaign continues to welcome donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across six main channels including the campaign's website ( as well as a dedicated call centre via the toll-free number (800 4999). Donations are also possible via bank transfers in the UAE dirham to the campaign bank account number with Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201). Donations via SMS are possible by sending the word 'Father' to the following numbers (1034 to donate Dh10, 1035 to donate Dh50, 1036 to donate Dh100 and 1038 to donate Dh500) for Etisalat by e& and du users.
