Enraged by her defiance, he beat her more brutally In a heartbreaking incident from Nelkaranji village in Maharashtra's Sangli district, a father has been arrested for allegedly beating his daughter to death over poor exam performance. The victim, Sadhana Dhoniram Bhosale, a Class 12 science student in Atpadi taluka in the district, aspired to become a doctor. Sadhana's father was a teacher in a private school educational institution in the village. Sadhana, who dreamed of becoming a doctor, had recently appeared for a NEET mock exam. He reportedly used a wooden stick traditionally associated with their caste during the assault. During the beating, a heated argument broke out between Sadhana and her father. She reportedly questioned him, saying, 'How did you become a collector after studying so much?" Offended by her defiant remark, Dhondiram Bhosale allegedly flew into a rage and beat her even more brutally, leaving her seriously injured. In a deeply disturbing turn of events, instead of taking his injured daughter to the hospital, Dhondiram Bhosale reportedly went to school the next day to participate in International Yoga Day celebrations. When he returned home, he found Sadhana unconscious. Alarmed by her unresponsiveness, her parents rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late—she had already died.
