Average rent price/housing type: Dhs75,000 per year (one-bedroom apartment).
The majority of properties available to both buy and rent in Al Jaddaf are apartments, however there are a few villas dotted around.
Since the neighbourhood is a little further out of the city than the likes of Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina, you can get more for your money when it comes to space.
The average apartment costs around Dhs75k per year to rent, or Dhs1.2m to buy, according to the latest data from Property Finder.
Where to eat in Al Jaddaf

Head to Enigma at Palazzo Versace for a 'taste of Persia' in a grand setting, or for a pizza with a perfectly-puffed crust nip round the corner to Amalfi.
For some seasonal dishes with a real bit of flair, head to Teible inside the Jameel Arts Centre, where you'll be treated to meals with homegrown ingredients.
For a lemon meringue eclair or a mango high tea you won't forget easily, take a seat inside The Tea Room and get nibbling.
Things to do in Al Jaddaf
There is plenty to do in Al Jaddaf. Home to Mohammed bin Rashid Library, with more than a million books, you need to schedule in a visit. From modern books to historical texts, entry to the building (which is shaped like a book) is completely free.
If you're searching for something to do with the kiddos, one of Time Out Dubai's Best Family Brunches, 'Into The Jungle' is also found at Palazzo Versace. Expect heaps of entertainment including arts and crafts, face painting, balloon bending and roaming jungle animals.
If you're in need of some 'me-time' an appointment at Wellness and Spa at Courtyard by Marriott Culture Village is time well spent. Looking over Dubai Creek, you can enjoy a range of massages and signature treatments.
Or if you're in desperate need of some in-person retail therapy, a 20-minute car journey will bring you to Dubai Outlet Mall.

The close proximity to Jaddaf Waterfront makes the perfect opportunity to invest in a boat, or just rent one for the day.
But if you're not heading out to cruise for the day and you actually need to go somewhere, you'll be pleased to hear that Al Jaddaf is on the Dubai Metro green line. You can pick up the metro at both Al Jaddaf Metro Station and Creek Metro Station.
Buses can also take you into more central parts of the city, including the C04 and the 44.
