Paesano reveals opening date for third Glasgow venue
Paesano announced it will open its brand-new location in the Southside on May 21. The new spot will be located at 1038 - 1040 Pollokshaws Road, with its other restaurants being located in the city centre and the west end. Announcing the news on Facebook, the eatery said: "The wait is nearly over, Paesans. See you on May 21." In March, we reported how work was underway to turn a unit in the southside into the city's third Paesano venue. It came after planning permission was sought in November 2024 by the Glasgow pizza chain to take over the building which used to house Di Maggio's in Shawlands. Paesano was the first restaurant to bring authentic, traditional Napoletana pizza to Glasgow. Everything from its ingredients to wood-fired pizza ovens are sourced from Italy. The menu consists of around 10 pizza options, sides and desserts as well as regularly changing specials. Prices start at £7.90 for a pizza, up to £12.90 with some specials costing slightly more.
