Rihanna Reveals She's Pregnant With Baby No. 3 With A$AP Rocky as She Arrives at the 2025 Met Gala
Rihanna revealed she is pregnant with baby No. 3 while heading to the 2025 Met Gala in a form-fitting outfit. The 'Diamonds' singer, 37, showed off her growing baby bump in photos obtained by People before arriving at the star-studded event, which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5. She later walked the red carpet several hours after the event started in a black tailored look and a large hat with her baby bump on full display. Rihanna is now expecting her third child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky (real name: Rakim Mayers). The couple currently share two sons, 2-year-old RZA Athelaston Mayers, born in May 2022, and 1-year-old Riot Rose Mayers, born in August 2023. A$Ap walked the red carpet earlier on in the night solo. The dress code for the 2025 Met Gala is "Tailored for You," which is a "nod to the exhibition's focus on suiting and menswear — from specific silhouettes to various fabrics and accessories — that is purposefully designed to both provide guidance and invite creative interpretation." Cochairs for this year's highly anticipated event include A$AP Rocky, 36, Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and hitmaker Pharrell Williams, plus Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Before stealing the show at this year's event with her big news, Rihanna previously spoke about how much she is enjoying motherhood. "It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom," she told E! News at Fenty Beauty's Soft'Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation launch in April 2024. "Like I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity. I embrace it so much more now, like I wear pink." She added, "I go between wearing jerseys and like, 'I'm wearing a dress today! I'm the only one in this house who can do that right now.'" The Barbadian bombshell said she's really embraced her role at home and it's empowered her in other ways. "It just kind of highlights about being a woman," she shared. "Because I'm the one that can experience all of that in the house — giving birth to them, carrying them, being a partner with Rocky and running the household and the family. It's new territory, but it's empowering." A source told In Touch that RiRi is continuing to expand her empire after launching Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, a lingerie line, noting that she is well on her way to doubling her billion-dollar fortune. "Rihanna takes a very serious, thoughtful approach to each of her investments, she doesn't just slap her name on her brands, she's heavily involved in every step from the design to the marketing and the products," the insider dished. "There's a reason everything she touches seems to turn to gold. She does thorough research and due diligence and puts in the hours," spilled the source, revealing Rihanna is serious about investing her time and energy into her products. "She has an incredible sense of judgment, and her ventures, like her perfume line, are performing incredibly well. She's careful to time her launches right to ensure things are successful, she starts slow and steady before diving into a new project. Her existing brands are thriving, and she's now moving into new territories."

Rihanna's dad dies aged 70
Rihanna's dad has died at the age of 70. The 37-year-old pop star - whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty - has yet to address her loss publicly, but Starcom Network reported on Saturday (31.05.25) that her father, Ronald Fenty had passed away following a "brief illness". The outlet reported that "family members have gathered in California, where Fenty passed away in the early hours of this morning", but gave no further detail. PEOPLE magazine later confirmed the news, although his official cause and date of death have yet to be revealed. The news comes just days after TMZ reported that Rihanna's brother Rajad Fenty had been seen at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and claimed that the 'Umbrella' hitmaker was also with him. Ronald is also survived by Rihanna's mother Monica Braithwaite - whom he split from in 2002 - as well as daughters Kandi, 54, and Samantha Fenty, 44, as well as his 35-year-old son Rorrey Fenty. Prior to their divorce, Ronald and Monica had raised their children in Bridgetown, Barbados where he worked as a warehouse supervisor and she was an accountant. Rihanna had endured a rocky relationship with her father when she was growing up. and was at the centre of a public battle with him when he spoke to the press after she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009. However, the in the years that followed, she noted that she had "repaired" her relationship with her father and had to learn to "come to terms" with things that had gone in in the past. She told Oprah Winfrey: "He taught me everything, and as awful as he was to my mom, at times, it didn't compare to how great he was as a father. "And I had to come to terms with that, and I was able to close that gap with him." Despite this, in 2019, Rihanna sued her dad for allegedly exploiting her name for financial gain but elected to dismiss the complaint just weeks before it went to court. The 'Diamonds' songstress is currently expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky - with whom she already has Rza, two, as well as 22-month-old Riot - and Ron previously shared how much he approved of his daughter's relationship. Ron told PageSix in 2023: "He's such a cool guy. Very respectable. He's taking to fatherhood very well."

ASAP Rocky offers baby name hint
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna plan to follow their family tradition in naming their next baby. The couple revealed earlier this week they are expecting their third child together, and now the 36-year-old rapper - whose real name is Rakim Mayers - has confirmed the tot will be given a moniker that begins with R, just like their other kids, RZA, two, and 22-month-old Riot. Rocky appeared on 'Late Night With Seth Meyers' on Wednesday (07.05.25) and the host congratulated him on the baby news before asking: 'Your first two kids have 'R' names, obviously you and Rihanna have 'R' names. "Is this a lock that the third will have an 'R' name, do you think?' Rocky confirmed: "For sure.' Elsewhere in the interview, the 'Fashion Killa' hitmaker revealed his beloved grandmother Cathy partied all night at his Met Gala afterparty because she was so keen to meet his fellow co-chair from the event, Colman Domingo. He joked: 'She was really ambitious about going because she wanted to meet her husband." Rocky confirmed Cathy stayed the whole night because she "was waiting on her boo to show up,' but the 'Sing Sing' star failed to attend so 'she didn't get to meet him unfortunately.' Rihanna, 37, confirmed her pregnancy shortly before she arrived at the Met Gala by releasing a portrait by photographer Miles Diggs showing off her growing bump. The 'Diamonds' hitmaker arrived late to Monday's (05.05.25) Met Gala, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, wearing a Marc Jacobs outfit - a grey bustier and a floor-length black skirt - amid the spectacle's theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style". Although Rihanna rocked up after the floral carpet had ended, Rocky had arrived earlier in the evening and spoke to reporters about their baby news. He told them: "It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up." He also said: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. "I'm glad everybody's happy for us because we're definitely happy." Rihanna is no stranger to announcing a pregnancy on a worldwide stage. The star confirmed she was pregnant with Riot during her performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Just days later, Rihanna admitted "everything changed" for the couple when they welcomed their first child into the world, but the birth of RZA made the pair "closer". Speaking to British Vogue magazine in February 2023, she said: "We're best friends with a baby. "We have to be on the same page, but we've always kind of had that in our relationship. "Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn't say it's done anything but made us closer."
