NY private equity firm bets big on the future of Legacy Place in Dedham

Advertisement Despite the rise of Amazon and other online shopping sites, Dickerman is still a big believer in bricks-and-mortar. He notes that Legacy draws regular customers from as far away as 30 miles, because of the tenant mix — it's essentially full — and the experience. He said the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the office and retail real estate markets, but the retail sector appears to be stabilizing now, particularly because so few new shopping centers were built across the country in recent years. 'There's been so much dislocation with Amazon and home delivery,' Dickerman said. 'In our view, retail is finally starting to catch an equilibrium.' Wichita County Sheriff's Office quarterly awards

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — More than 20 Wichita County law enforcement officers are being recognized for going above and beyond inside the agency. During an awards ceremony today, Deputy Walker and Detention Officers Dickerman and Sheppard received their retirement awards. Corporal Whipple, as well as Deputies Brown and Williams, received the life-saving award after treating a man who suffered a heart attack or stroke. Lieutenant Penney, Deputy Ward, and Corporal Jacobson received awards for placing first in last year's USPCA National competition. Sheriff David Duke said it's always good when they can highlight these officers for all to see. 'The community can see, what they're what they're paying for through their law enforcement, whether it's a city, county, state or the good deeds that they do get to do, and they do every day that just goes. A lot of people don't know what they end up doing, that something that may really save someone's lives or change some people's lives to a to a better way,' Duke said. Several officers were also promoted within the agency. The Wichita County Sheriff's Office is hiring for several positions at the moment, click here to apply. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
