Jennifer Lawrence looks like she has stepped out of her bathroom as she wears SLIPPERS and a robe coat in NYC
Jennifer Lawrence was spotted in a very casual look when out for a walk in New York City. The Hunger Games star, 34, stepped out in a long white robe coat over a blue t-shirt and grey sweatpants. The No Hard Feelings actress slipped her feet into backless slippers with bright red socks. She had her long blonde hair pulled back into a messy, low slung bun and she wore amber-lensed sunglasses. The mom of two has been busy lately as she jetted off to the Cannes Film Festival in support of her movie Die My Love. Last month, the mom of son Cy, three, gave birth to her second child, whom she has not yet released the gender or name of the baby. Lawrence is garnering very early Oscar buzz for her role as a mother grappling with postpartum depression. She stars as Grace alongside Robert Pattison's Jackson in Die My Love. Her postpartum depression turns into psychosis in an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz's 2017 novel, which has been described as both a horror and a comedy. The praise for her new role comes as Jennifer candidly shared her struggles during an 'extremely isolating' postpartum period after the birth of her first child. Speaking at a press conference to promote the film, Jennifer candidly shared how she related to her character's struggles after struggling with the loneliness of her early motherhood. The Hunger Games star gave birth to her first child, son Cy, back in 2022, and shared that she had not long had her baby when she was approached to star in the film. She said: 'I mean, obviously, as a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do as opposed to what she would do. 'It was just heartbreaking. When I first read the book, it was just such a devastating, powerful... Lynne (Ramsay) said it was dreamlike. And there's not really anything like postpartum. It's extremely isolating, which is so interesting when Lynn (Ramsay) moves this couple into Montana. 'She doesn't have a community. She doesn't have her people. But the truth is, extreme anxiety and extreme depression is isolated, no matter where you are. 'You feel like an alien. And so it deeply moved me. I wanted to work with Lynn Ramsey since I saw Rat Catcher.' In the film, Jennifer stars as Grace, a new mother whose mental health begins to deteriorate as her marriage crumbles, with Robert Pattinson starring as her husband Jackson. The star admitted that since having children, it has changed her perspective on her career, and described motherhood as 'brutal and incredible.' She added: 'Well, having children changes everything. 'It changes your whole life. But it's brutal and incredible. And so not only do they go into every decision of if I'm working, where I'm working, when I'm working. 'It taught me... I didn't know that I could feel so much. My job has a lot to do with emotion. They've opened up the world to me. It's almost like feeling like a blister or something, so sensitive. 'So they've changed my life, obviously, for the best, and they've changed me creatively. I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor.' Jennifer married art dealer Cooke Maroney in 2019 after being set up with him by her best friend Laura Simpson in 2018. The Real Housewives superfan previously romanced her Mother! director Darren Aronofsky, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult.

Movies starring the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, Michelle Yeoh as well as Peter Dinklage have sold wide during the recently closed Cannes Film Festival market. 193, the film production and global sales entity led by industry veteran Patrick Wachsberger which is a joint venture with Legendary Entertainment, said on Thursday that it sold four marquee films to various territories. Jennifer Lawrence's latest film ‘Die My Love' secures $24 million global distribution deal
Jennifer Lawrence's latest film 'Die My Love' has secured a $24 million global distribution deal. It marks the largest acquisition at this year's Cannes film market, with the multi-territory agreement struck by streaming service Mubi and includes North American rights to the feature, which also stars Robert Pattinson. According to Variety, it was also brokered by 193, a new sales company launched by Legendary and headed by industry veteran Patrick Wachsberger. The company brought 'Die My Love', directed by Lynn Ramsey, to Cannes as part of its inaugural slate. It premiered in competition at the festival and in a statement about the distribution deal struck on the back of its showing at the festival, Patrick said: 'Securing global sales on four high-profile films, one of which having already had a successful premiere, affirms the strength of our storytelling and the trust our global partners have placed in us. This is a fantastic start for our company and a signal of the compelling projects we will continue to deliver.' Sales for 'Die My Love' extended far beyond the Mubi deal, with rights sold in the Baltics, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, the Middle East, Mongolia, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Scandinavia and Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro, among other territories. Also included in 193's Cannes slate was 'Scandalous!', a biographical romance depicting the relationship between Kim Novak and Sammy Davis Jr. The film marks the directorial debut of Colman Domingo and stars Sydney Sweeney and David Jonsson. It sold to distributors in Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Spain, the U.K. and others. 'The Surgeon', written and directed by oncologist-turned-filmmaker Roshan Sethi and starring Michelle Yeoh, also found buyers across multiple territories. Roshan reunites with Patrick and producer Basil Iwanyk following their previous collaboration on 'John Wick'. Distribution deals were confirmed for Australia and New Zealand, Israel, South Africa and the Philippines. Finally, the reimagining of the cult classic 'The Toxic Avenger', a dark comedy starring Peter Dinklage, Kevin Bacon and Elijah Wood, was picked up in several major territories. These include Germany and Austria, Japan, Italy and Britain.

HBO's ‘Harry Potter' Series Finds Its Harry, Ron and Hermione
HBO's Harry Potter TV series has found its Harry, Ron and Hermione. The trio of Hogwarts freshmen are newcomers to Hollywood. This time, Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton is Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout is the new Ron Weasley. In the films, those roles were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, respectively. There were eight Harry Potter films and a series of three Fantastic Beasts movies — a spinoff of the original IP. Author J.K. Rowling wrote seven Harry Potter books; the eighth book in the series was split into two movies. The Hunger Games star and her husband are also parents to three-year-old son Cy. For it's part, Die, My Love, was welcomed into the world with open arms. The film, in which Lawrence plays a young mother who struggles with post-partum depression following the birth of her child, was delivered a nine-minute standing ovation by the audience. The film, based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Ariana Harwicz and directed and written by Lynne Ramsay is competing for Cannes biggest prize, the Palme d'Or.
