The Office Spinoff Gets Official Title and Premiere Month at Peacock — Plus, Oscar Returns in First Photo!
At the risk of getting The Office's theme song stuck in your head, we come bearing new details about its upcoming spinoff, now officially titled The Paper.
Peacock announced on Monday that The Paper, an extension of the Office universe, will premiere on the streamer in September; a more exact release date has yet to be revealed.

A new photo from the comedy has also been released, which features not only series leads Domhnall Gleeson (The Patient) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), but OG The Office cast member Oscar Nuñez, who will reprise his role of Oscar Martinez (evidently no longer an accountant at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch). Hailing from The Office co-creator Greg Daniels and Michael Koman (Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live), The Paper finds the same documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin Scranton searching for a new subject. They ultimately find it in an historic Toledo newspaper, The Truth Teller, and the eager publisher that's trying to revive it.
The Paper's cast also includes Chelsea Frei (The Cleaning Lady), Melvin Gregg (Snowfall), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), Tim Key (The Witchfinder) and comedian Alex Edelman. Daniels and Koman will write and executive-produce the series, while original Office EPs Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein and Ben Silverman will also be back in that role.
