Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana trailer promises quirky crime comedy starring Diganth
Kannada actor Diganth Manchale is set to return to the big screen with 'Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana', a dark comedy helmed by Samarth B Kadkol. The film will release in theatres on June 13. Alongside Diganth, the ensemble cast includes Dhanu Harsha, Nidhi Subbaiah, Sourav Lokesh and Krishna Hebbale, with cameo appearances by Radhika Narayan and Nirup of the release, the makers unveiled the film's trailer, which offers a blend of murder mystery and quirky humour. Diganth plays Lohit Rajesh, a left-handed techie navigating a world that seems tailor-made for right-handers. 'Pancharangi' actor Diganth Manchale seems to be carving a niche for himself in the quirky comedy space with back-to-back films like 'Bachelor Party', 'Powder' and 'Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana', where he plays the lead. The trailer stands out with its 3-minute 37-second cut - longer than standard - but holds attention with its inventive editing, distinct cinematography and background with Kannada films in recent times, there have been instances where the brilliant technicalities presented in a trailer go missing on the big screen. Examples include 'Vidyapati' and Diganth's previous release as the lead, 'Powder'. Will the technical brilliance of filmmaking be a trailer-only element with this one too? One could only hope.
