Alys Beach Foundation hosts 18th annual Digital Graffiti art show

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – One of the most unique art shows in the world will take place this weekend in South Walton County. The 18th annual 'Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach' kicks off on Friday night. On Thursday, the Alys Beach architect and the curator of the show conducted a preview tour. Attendees walked through the community to hear one of this year's many educational panels. It was the first in a series of panels that will take place this weekend, covering a wide range of topics, from working in the art industry to the interplay between art and architecture. Gulf County's 100th: Free events, music, and fireworks celebration The Alys Beach Foundation hosts Digital Graffiti. This is the second year the foundation has incorporated the panels into the event. Artists from all over the world will be projecting 72 works of art on the sides of buildings for attendees to view. 'So it was just a way to kind of activate some of the white masonry walls. It lends itself to a perfect artistic canvas. And the reductive and sculptural nature of the architecture gives a really good interplay with the art,' Alys Beach Director of Public Relations Diana Lane said. Tickets for Friday night are sold out, however, tickets are still available for Saturday, either online or in person. The panels are free to attend with an RSVP. For more information, click here.
