The actress, who gained renewed popularity after her stint on Bigg Boss 18, may not have made it to the grand finale, but she emerged as one of the season's strongest contenders and a clear fan favourite. News of her health setback has left many of her fans and colleagues concerned, as they continue to send her well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
'Hello people! I've been tested Positive for COVID. Stay Safe and wear your masks!" she shared a note on Instagram.
Many took to the comment section and extended their well wishes to the actress, including celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Chum Darang, Rohit K. Verma, Indira Krishna, and her sister, Namrata Shirodkar. A concerned Sonakshi commented, 'Oh god!!! Take care, shilpaaa… speedy recovery," while Namrata Shirodkar added, 'Get well soon," with a heart emoji.
Shilpa's Bigg Boss 18 co-contestant Chum Darang also reacted to the post and wrote, 'Get well soon." Likewise, fans also dropped their reactions in the comments, with many sounding worried about another surge in COVID-19 cases. The actress's diagnosis comes at a time when India has logged multiple COVID-19 cases across various states, including Kerala, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.
