(AP) — Josh Dilling's 28 points helped Northern Kentucky defeat IU Indianapolis 71-67 on Sunday. Dilling went 10 of 18 from the field (7 for 15 from 3-point range) for the Norse (14-15, 9-9 Horizon League). Dan Gherezgher Jr. scored 15 points and added seven rebounds. Trey Robinson went 6 of 18 from the field to finish with 13 points. The Jaguars (9-20, 5-13) were led in scoring by Sean Craig, who finished with 22 points and seven rebounds. Paul Zilinskas added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists for IU Indianapolis. Alec Millender had 12 points and seven assists. ___

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Amcor announced a new scholarship program for undergraduate students at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school. Amcor is a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions. At the Terre Haute Plant, Amcor makes plastic packaging, known as overwrap. It's used to cover household items like paper towels and toilet paper. While you won't see the Amcor name on the product, it is in millions of Americans' homes. Officials said that as a society, it's important to recognize that you can have a fulfilling, well-paying career with a two-year education, a vocational, or trade school education. CANDLES Holocaust Museum observes Holocaust Remembrance Day 'There is a very well-paid career at Amcor,' Mary Ann Dilling, Director of Community Relations at Amcor said. 'We believe in investing in the manufacturing workforce of the future, and so we're excited to help students get the training they need for a successful and satisfying career,' stated Ethan Haas, chair of the Amcor Cares Board of Trustees. 'Amcor considers it a responsibility and an honor to help students truly unpack their potential in the years ahead.' Who's the ideal candidate? 'Anyone in the high schools right now that is a senior, they're looking for their direction in the future, Dilling said. 'They see themselves definitely going to a technical school. They are excited about their future but would love some assistance,' she added. Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to go on for a career at Amcor. The company also offers a program for colleagues to have the chance to go back to school with financial assistance. 'We want to make an impact, but we also see a possibility of them being future family members of Amcor, our future colleagues and so, what a better way than to help them with their education,' Dilling said. Dilling said the scholarship is a way for Amcor to give back to the community and to the individuals within the Amcor communities. Twenty $2,500 grants will be given each academic year. Applicant eligibility requirements are as follows: Be a high school senior or high school graduate. Reside in Arkansas, California, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin. Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Be pursuing a certificate* or associate degree in an industrial-skilled trade (for example, Mechanics, Electronics, or Automation). Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent. Interested students can apply for a scholarship by clicking here.
