One suspect in Taman Puchong assault has criminal record
KUALA LUMPUR: One of the three men suspected of attacking and slashing a man at an apartment in Taman Puchong, Subang Jaya yesterday has a prior criminal record. Subang Jaya deputy police chief Supt Mohd Fairus Jaafar said the suspect with the record is the ex-husband of the victim's girlfriend. 'Efforts to trace all three suspects are ongoing. So far, police have recorded statements from three individuals, including the victim's girlfriend,' he said in a statement today. Yesterday it was reported that the victim's girlfriend informed police that her 47-year-old partner was assaulted and slashed on the head and body by her former husband and two other men at about 2.15am. The incident is believed to be linked to domestic issues and jealousy. Police are currently tracking down three local men, aged between 30 and 40. The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code. Cops hunt for 3 men who slashed, beat up man in Puchong
Subang Jaya deputy police chief Fairus Jaafar said domestic issues and jealousy led to the assault. PETALING JAYA : A domestic issue resulted in a man being slashed on the head and body at the Puchong Intan Apartment in Taman Puchong early today. Police are tracking down three local men, aged 30 to 40, believed to be involved in the incident, Bernama quoted Subang Jaya deputy police chief Fairus Jaafar as saying. He said his station received a call from a woman informing them that her boyfriend was beaten and slashed by her ex-husband and two men at 2.15am. Investigations revealed that the victim, a 47-year-old local man, was living with the ex-wife of one of the suspects at the apartment. 'The victim was beaten with an iron rod and slashed with a knife,' Fairus said in a statement today. The victim was taken to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang and is currently in stable condition. The motive behind the incident was reportedly linked to domestic issues and jealousy. The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt with a sharp weapon.
