Woman left defeated after Foodpanda sends incomplete order, gives $6.83 refund for $30.69 meal
A woman's struggle with Foodpanda customer service left her feeling defeated after she received an incomplete refund.
Three out of the four dishes from Ding Ji at Pasir Ris 444 received by a Stomper came with missing components.
For the two mee pok noodles with soup, the soup came with no noodles and no ingredients.
As for the laksa, the soup came without cockles and noodles.
She says she contacted customer service right after, and was answered by a spokesperson named Jane, whom she sent the photos of the botched order to.
Foodpanda then issued her a refund of $6.83, despite the total order being $30.69.
The customer service chat with Jane subsequently ended, and the photos sent were no longer available for the Stomper to view.
However, unsatisfied with the outcome, the Stomper said she started another chat, this time with Joseph.
'I asked for the photographs I sent to Jane, and Joseph replied saying they can't send back the pictures, so weird, right?'
Unfortunately, she was denied a full refund.
'I re-ordered from the Tampines outlet but on Grab because I didn't want my kids to starve, the meal came perfect,' she says.
Determined to get a full refund, she emailed Foodpanda, where a manager named Fais apologised to her and gave her a $5 voucher.
Frustrated, she said she will no longer be using the platform anymore, and hoped to 'warn all consumers to be careful when placing large food orders.'
Stomp has reached out to Foodpanda for comment.
