Honor Flight Rochester begins 2025 flights with Mission 88
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Honor Flight Rochester had its first mission of 2025 this weekend.
Local veterans were honored with Mission 88, a part of Honor Flight Rochester's goal to give them what organizers describe as 'the trip of a lifetime.'
Veterans apply for the chance to fly with the organization every year. As each mission passes, the opportunity to be included increases as they rank higher on the Fly List.
59 veterans were on board, including 2 who served in the Korean War, 7 in the Cold War, 44 in the Vietnam War, and 6 who served in both the Cold War and Vietnam War.

A keynote address was given by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20 President Charles H. Klauck.
Mission 88 marks the celebration of 4,474 veterans that Honor Flight Rochester has honored since 2008.
