Guv: Op Sindoor not possible under Cong

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi on Sunday heaped praise on PM Narendra Modi-led BJP govt at the Centre saying the capabilities to undertake Operation Sindoor was built only in the past 10 years and it could not have been possible in the previous Congress govt. He was speaking at a meeting to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor titled 'From Battlefield to Diplomacy: Operation Sindoor Decoded, Narratives of Courage, Diplomacy and National Security', organized by Chennai Citizens Forum, an NGO. "If you think that Operation Sindoor could have been conducted 15 or 20 years back, perhaps it wouldn't have been possible. It could have resulted in a heavy cost on us. Because we have developed the capabilities in the past 10 years it became possible," he said. Ravi said that Operation Sindoor is a case study for military strategists across the world. "It (Operation Sindoor) was also a demonstration of India's indigenous military capabilities where we are today and I am sure tomorrow we will be better," Ravi said. "The operation not just boosted the morale of our country but also raised the status of Bharat many notches up," he said.
