Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Kingdom of Bahrain Celebrates National Day of Pakistan
TDT | Manama Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Bahrain celebrated 85 th National Day of Pakistan on 27 April 2025 at Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel in Manama. H.E. Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affair graced the occasion as chief guest. His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain graciously sent a congratulatory message to the Embassy of Pakistan in Bahrain.

Bangladesh Embassy hosts 54th independence celebration
The Embassy of Bangladesh organised a reception on 16 April 2025 at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel with due dignity and in a joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 54th Anniversary of the Great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh. The reception was graced by the event's Chief Guest, Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shaikha Muneera Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom. Dignitaries A diverse array of high-level dignitaries was present during the reception, namely, members of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, ambassadors and other high-ranking diplomats, representatives of the United Nations and other international organisations, senior officials of the Bahrain Government, prominent businesspersons, journalists, teachers and students of Bangladesh School Bahrain, leaders of the Bangladeshi community residing in Bahrain, as well as the officers and officials of the Embassy along with their families. The reception commenced with the playing of the national anthems of Bahrain and Bangladesh, followed by a brief documentary screening on Bangladesh, a cultural program, a cake-cutting ceremony marking the Independence & National Day of Bangladesh, and finally, a banquet dinner arranged for the invited guests. The venue was also beautifully decorated, featuring a Bangladesh Corner showcasing a photography exhibition and a collection of Bangladeshi products and souvenirs, which impressed both local as well as foreign attendees. Welcome address The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain, His Excellency Mr. Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, began his welcome address by respectfully remembering all the heroic freedom fighters who were martyred in the Great Liberation War of 1971. He also recalled all the martyrs who were killed in the mass uprising of July-August 2024.

Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, and Mrs. Dilruba Akhter lead a cake-cutting ceremony marking the 54th Independence and National Day of Bangladesh, held yesterday at the Grand Ambassador Ballroom, Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, in the presence of senior government officials, ambassadors, embassy staff, and distinguished guests.

Bahrain, US celebrate new era of cooperation

The recent signing of the Comprehensive Security and Economic Partnership Agreement (C-SEPA) marked a major milestone in bilateral relations, establishing a formal framework for deepened cooperation in commerce, science, and technology. Highlighting the robust ties between the two nations, Ambassador Bondy spoke during a reception to commemorate the 249th Independence Day of the US, held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa in Manama last night. The event welcomed prominent dignitaries, including the evening's guest of honor, H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with several ministers and officials. In his address, Ambassador Bondy emphasised the shared commitment of both countries to regional stability, security, and economic prosperity. Peace-building efforts He praised the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting the Kingdom's active role in peace-building efforts, including a pivotal peace summit held in Cairo, which further demonstrated Bahrain's unwavering commitment to regional dialogue and cooperation. The Ambassador also commended Bahrain's recent strides in technological advancement, particularly the successful launch of the Al Munther satellite, calling it 'a monumental achievement that places Bahrain in orbit — both literally and figuratively — among nations investing in future-ready innovation.' Bahrain is also preparing to shine on the global stage this weekend as it hosts another thrilling edition of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Nepal's Tourism Sector Flourishes with 1.2 Million Jobs and Growing Interest from GCC Travelers
Nepal's tourism sector played a vital role in the country's economy, providing direct and indirect employment to 1.2 million people in 2023, contributing 6.1% to the GDP. The sector's contribution is projected to increase to 6.6% in 2024, as growing numbers of international travelers explore Nepal's diverse attractions. Speaking at the Tourism to Nepal: Mountain and More promotional event at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel in Manama, Nepal's Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Tirtha Raj Wagle, highlighted the sector's robust performance. He revealed that 1.15 million tourists visited Nepal in 2024, with India, the USA, the UK, China, Australia, Germany, and France ranking among the top sources of visitors. 'We are delighted to see growing interest in Nepal from tourists in the GCC countries,' Ambassador Wagle said in remarks to the Daily Tribune. The event also shed light on the expanding prospects for Nepal-Bahrain cooperation in tourism, particularly in mountaineering and hospitality. Ambassador Wagle recalled a remarkable milestone in Nepal-Bahrain relations—the historic Everest summit by the Bahrain Royal Guard team. On May 11, 2021, a 16-member team led by Shaikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, marking the first-ever ascent by Bahrainis. Reflecting on the achievement, Ambassador Wagle noted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa personally congratulated the climbers, remarking, 'Bahrain's message from the highest mountain is that peace and security should prevail all over the world.' Adding a personal touch to the event, Mohamed Isa delivered an inspiring speech recounting his trekking experiences in Nepal and the country's breathtaking landscapes. Dr. Ali Hassan Follad, Advisor to Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, attended the event as the representative of H.E. Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Bahrain's Minister of Tourism, underscoring Bahrain's keen interest in strengthening tourism ties with Nepal. The event served as a platform to promote Nepal's tourism potential, further cementing its status as a premier global travel destination.
