Sonam Kapoor said that she has realized it is better to listen than to speak. She also explained that she no longer has personal opinions on people anymore.
Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor recently shared that she doesn't have personal opinions on people anymore, as she once did. She admitted that she had too many opinions when she was younger, and that it was 'immature'. However, she explained that she has come to realize with age that it is better to listen than to speak, and that some opinions are best kept to herself.
While speaking with Vogue India, Sonam Kapoor said, 'When I was young, I had too many opinions. With age, you realise it's better to listen than to speak." She further added, 'I don't have personal opinions on people anymore, like I did. That wasn't nice. It was immature." Sonam, who often speaks up on social media about environmental and socio-political issues, said that she has always been clear about her beliefs, and that she doesn't give in to leading questions anymore for clickbait headlines.
'I've been clear about my beliefs and I don't give in to leading questions anymore for clickbait headlines. If someone asks me a question, they already know what my stance is. I've said everything there is to say," she said.
In the past, Sonam Kapoor often hit the headlines for her controversial statements, particularly those made on Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan. Last year, in an interview with Dirty Magazine, the actress said, 'You know, I always thought I was non-judgmental, but then I realised that I was like, the most judgy human being on this planet." She reflected on the things she said in her youth, and said that she would be 'cancelled and crucified' if she said all those things now, in the social media era.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen in Shome Makhija's crime thriller film Blind (2023), which also features Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillette Dubey in supporting roles. Sonam has revealed that her next project is Battle for Bittora, based on Anuja Chauhan's novel.
