Bradley Park Drive bridge to close from May 30 to June 2, GDOT says
COLUMBUS, Ga. () — The Georgia Department of Transportation announced the Bradley Park Drive bridge will be closed at the end of the month for continuing construction of the new Diverging Diamond Configuration.
GDOT says the bridge will be closed during the construction. J.R. Allen Parkway ramps will remain open.
According to GDOT the following routes will be used for redirecting traffic onto and off of Bradley Park Drive and J.R. Allen Parkway.
Traffic exiting JR Allen Parkway (US 80/SR 22) westbound at Exit 3A, as well as traffic on the west side of the bridge, will be detoured via Bradley Park Drive to JR Allen Parkway (US 80/SR 22), then to Exit 2 (I-85 ramps), and back onto JR Allen Parkway to re-access Exit 3A.
Traffic exiting JR Allen Parkway (US 80/SR 22) eastbound at Exit 3A, as well as traffic on the east side of the bridge, will be detoured via Bradley Park Drive to JR Allen Parkway (US 80/SR 22), then to Exit 4 (River Road/SR 219) and back onto JR Allen Parkway to re-access Exit 3A.
GDOT advises dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
