Structure hit by gunfire in Waynesboro, suspect arrested
WAYNESBORO — Police arrested a suspect Friday after reports of gunfire at 305 E. Main Street in Waynesboro.
A structure was hit, according to the Waynesboro Police Department.
At approximately 1 p.m., officers responded to the scene but the suspect, Domanik S. Trohon, 24, of Staunton, had fled. He was eventually arrested by the Staunton Police Department, jail records show.
Trohon is charged with maliciously shooting at an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a non-violent felon, and reckless handling of a firearm, police said.
He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail in Verona.
