Pitt County Sheriff's Office shares Booze It and Lose It results after St. Patrick's Day
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Pitt County Sheriff's Office Deputies continued their Booze It and Lose It campaign during Saint Patrick's Day and enforced saturation patrols to combat drunk driving.
According to the Pitt County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the campaign had three DWI arrests, three crime guns arrested, six drug violations, four child car seat violations and more. As the weather warms up, patrols are going to continue to be on high alert.
'The efforts are not going to be reduced at all. It's only going to get ramped up more. Just speaking in-house, our agency was out as recently as yesterday afternoon doing another saturation patrol. Traffic-wise, it didn't yield a lot, but it led to several felony charges,' said Sgt. Donald Cormicle, Pitt County Sheriff's Office.
The Booze It and Lose It campaign is a year-round commitment to keep the Greenville community safe. If you are planning to drink away from home, be sure to have a plan before.
