Sarah Silverman recalls being told her ‘violent' grandfather allegedly killed her three-month-old brother
Sarah Silverman's brother, Jeffrey, was allegedly killed by her 'violent' grandfather. The comedian, 54, opened up to Rolling Stone about finding out how her three-month-old brother really died while he was under the care of his paternal grandparents. 'The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey's little body slid and he got suffocated,' Silverman, who was born after his passing, told the outlet on Sunday. 'But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything.' In the interview, the School of Rock actress recalled her father, Donald, watching her 2022 musical, Bedwetter, in which she makes a joke about her brother's death, several times before he decided to tell her the alleged truth. 'My dad says, 'I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad shook him,'' Silverman claimed. ''He shook him in a rage and killed him.'' 'As soon as he said it, it was like, 'Of course, that's what happened,'' Silverman expressed. 'His mother always stood by her husband. She watched him beat the sh*t out of her son. I couldn't ask my mum, because she was dead.' Silverman, whose mum, Beth Ann, died in 2015, described her father as someone who was 'always dropping bombs.' 'That was my dad,' she laughed. 'We were playing poker once, and he just dropped in that one of the priests at his school fondled him. I was like, 'Dad!'' Silverman's father passed away in May 2023 — nearly a year after he shared the shocking allegation about her grandfather. 'My best pal, Schleppy – my dad, died last night,' she wrote on Instagram at the time, along with several photos capturing memories with Donald. 'All the sisters, and grandkids surrounded him with love and singing and very dark f**ked up jokes this final week.' She continued, 'But ultimately, he wanted to be with his love, Janice, who we lost last Monday. No shiva- of [sic] you wanna do something please donate to @2ndnurture. He always said he was the richest man in the world because of his family, and he was.'

Sarah Silverman uncovers family secret about infant brother's tragic death
Sarah Silverman revealed a shocking family secret that her late father, Donald Silverman, once shared with her about her baby brother Jeffrey's tragic death. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 54-year-old comedian recalled the moment that Donald told her about how he believed Jeffrey, who passed away at three-months-old, really died. "I'm going to tell you a big bomb," Silverman said. Silverman recalled that for most of her life, she was always told one version of the circumstances behind Jeffrey's death. The "Saturday Night Live" alum explained that at the time of Jeffrey's death, her paternal grandparents, Max and Rose, were caring for the infant while Donald and her late mother Beth Ann O'Hara were on vacation. "The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey's little body slid and he got suffocated," Silverman said. "But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything." However, Silverman told the outlet that Donald shared a very different story in 2022 when he attended a production of her musical "The Bedwetter" at the Atlantic Theatre Company's Linda Gross Theatre in New York City. "The Bedwetter" is an adaptation of Silverman's 2010 memoir of the same name. The show included a scene in which a younger version of Silverman made a joke about Jeffrey's death. Silverman recalled that Donald visited her afterward and made a shocking revelation about how he believed his allegedly "violent" late father Max was involved in Jeffrey's passing. "My dad says, 'I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad shook him,'" Silverman told Rolling Stone. "'He shook him in a rage and killed him.'" Silverman said that Donald's story immediately made sense to her because her father had endured a "heartbreaking childhood," during which "his dad beat the s--- out of him every day, just mercilessly." "As soon as he said it, it was like, 'Of course, that's what happened,'" Silverman said. "His mother always stood by her husband. She watched him beat the s--- out of her son. I couldn't ask my mom, because she was dead." "That was my dad," Silverman said. "We were playing poker once, and he just dropped in that one of the priests at his school fondled him. I was like, 'Dad!'" "He was always dropping bombs," she added. A representative for Silverman did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Silverman's parents divorced when the comedian was six, and they both later remarried. Beth died of pancreatic cancer in August 2015 at the age of 73. Donald passed away in May 2023, shortly after the death of his longtime wife Janice. After Donald's death, Silverman shared a tribute to her late father on Instagram. "My best pal, Schleppy – my dad, died last night," she wrote in the caption of the post, which featured photos of herself with Donald. "All the sisters, and grandkids surrounded him with love and singing and very dark f–ked up jokes this final week." She continued, "But ultimately, he wanted to be with his love, Janice, who we lost last Monday. No shiva- of [sic] you wanna do something please donate to @2ndnurture." "He always said he was the richest man in the world because of his family, and he was," Silverman added.

Sarah Silverman claims her grandpa murdered her baby brother in horrific family secret revealed by dad before death
COMEDIAN Sarah Silverman has revealed a horror family secret centred on the death of her late brother for the first time. The TV star, who was formerly in a long-term relationship with Jimmy Kimmel and starred on his talk show in 2021, has opened up on the sobering moment she discovered her grandfather was allegedly to blame for the little boy's passing. 6 6 6 Saturday Night Live alum Sarah, 54, has now candidly opened up on a discussion with her late father and "best pal" Donald, who died in 2023. Her words shed light on a terrible family tragedy involving not only little Jeffrey but also her fathers troubled childhood, during which she claims his own dad "beat the s*** out of him every day, just mercilessly." The New Hampshire-born actress, stand-up and writer, who both penned and starred in The Sarah Silverman Programme, told Rolling Stone how her father's relationship with mom Beth Ann was rocky, and saw him "humiliate" and "belittle" her. Yet when Beth Ann won a cruise trip prize, five years before Sarah's birth, it appeared to offer some hope. The parents left baby Jeffrey with his grandparents, Donald's mum and dad, yet he tragically died when his crib collapsed on him. During the writing of her memoir, Sarah said the truth finally came out when her parents - who rarely agreed - had the same account of the little boy's passing. Sarah told the publication: "The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey's little body slid and he got suffocated. "But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything." Yet it was her 2022 show Bedwetter in Manhattan, which Donald watched five times in a row in the year before he died, when the horror truth came to light. In the scenes, Sarah made a joke about Jeffrey's passing and after the fifth show, Donald headed backstage. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman discusses their latest film Ralph Breaks the Internet on This Morning She added to the publication: 'My dad says, 'I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad shook him. "He shook him in a rage and killed him. "As soon as he said it, it was like, 'Of course, that's what happened.' "His mother always stood by her husband. "She watched him beat the s**t out of her son. "I couldn't ask my mom, because she was dead.' FAMILY LIFE Sarah and fellow comedian Jimmy dated from 2002, before calling it a day in 2009. She then dated actor Michael Sheen for four years from 2014 before splitting up in 2018. In October 2020, she revealed she was dating comedian Rory Albanese. The pair started their romance during lockdown whilst playing an online video together. Yet she has candidly told how her own career had impacted her own family decisions. She previously took to X to write: "As a comic always working & on the road I have had to decide between motherhood & living my fullest life & I chose the latter." 'Men don't have to do that. I'd so love to be a fun dad, coming home from the road and being my best fun dad self. 'So this is just a lil f*** all y'all, because you can't be a woman without sacrifice, and that's the fact, Jack." Sarah then added: "I love my comedian brothers that acknowledge this truth. "They're my family, and, for a lot of us women comic sisters, our only family.' 6 6 6

Sarah Silverman reveals the moment she discovered her grandfather KILLED her own brother
Sarah Silverman has shared the shocking way her baby brother, Jeffrey, died after her late father Donald Silverman revealed the truth to her. The comedian, 54, had always been told that her three-month-old brother, who died before she was born, 'suffocated' after he slipped through a space between the mattress and the bottom rail of his crib. Speaking to Rolling Stone, she said: 'The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey's little body slid and he got suffocated.' SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO Sarah continued: 'But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything.' However, the actress was later floored when she learned the devastating truth about her brother's passing from her father. She claims that prior to his death in 2023, Donald told her that he believed the infant was killed by her 'violent' grandfather - Donald's dad - after he 'shook him in a rage.' In her 2010 memoir, The Bedwetter, Sarah observed a significant detail: despite their differing perspectives on 'every issue of their marriage,' her parents shared the same narrative regarding Jeffrey's death. In her book, Sarah recounted that while her parents, Donald and Beth Ann, were on vacation, her infant brother Jeffrey was left in the care of her grandparents, Max and Rose. Max later told his son that during that time, he had been checking on crying Jeffrey at night instead of Rose as she had difficulty hearing. The following morning, when Donald went to check on Jeffrey, he reportedly discovered that the baby had suffocated. In 2022, the year before Donald's death, he attended a Manhattan production of Sarah's memoir, which had been turned to a musical, and saw it five nights in a row. The show contained a scene showing a young Sarah making an ill-placed joke about the death of her brother, to her grandmother, with nobody laughing. After sitting in the audience for the fifth time, Donald went backstage and shared a different account of Jeffrey's death, telling his daughter that his own father, her grandfather, was responsible. The former SNL star recalled her father saying: '"I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad shook him. He shook him in a rage and killed him."' Overhearing the revelation Sarah's manager reportedly gasped due to the shock. Sarah said: 'As soon as he said it, it was like, "Of course, that's what happened," '[Donald's] mother always stood by her husband. She watched him beat the s*** out of her son. I couldn't ask my mom, because she was dead.' Sarah then shared details about her father's 'heartbreaking' childhood, and how he was beaten daily by his father. She said: 'He had a younger brother who wasn't touched. His father made the kids call him Mr Silverman.' Sad loss: Sarah's father passed away in 2023, shortly after the death of Janice, his second wife of over 40 years According to Sarah, her father frequently opened up about shocking truths about his past of the blue. She recalled: 'We were playing poker once, and he just dropped in that one of the priests at his school fondled him. I was like "Dad!" He was always dropping bombs.'
