Eagle Butte woman arrested for DUI in unauthorized Suburban
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A 33-year-old Eagle Butte woman is facing DUI charges after a crash in Rapid City Wednesday evening.
According to Rapid City police, authorities were dispatched to the intersection of 5th Street and Main Street for a vehicle crash at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police searching for suspect after 1 injured by gunshot
Police arrived to find a Chevrolet Suburban that had rear-ended another vehicle. The driver of the Suburban was found slumped over and the officer removed the keys from the ignition.
The driver, identified as 33-year-old Donna Long of Eagle Butte, woke up and police noted the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from her.
Police made contact with the owner of the Suburban and determined Long did not have permission to be using the vehicle.
ICE arrest at Minnehaha County Courthouse
Long was arrested for DUI, following too closely, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
