BTS' Jin scores Billboard Hot 100 entry with ‘Don't Say You Love Me', tops Spotify global chart

SEOUL, May 28 — BTS member Jin has entered the US Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 90 with his latest solo single Don't Say You Love Me, Billboard announced yesterday. The song also topped Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart for May 25, rising from No. 9 on its debut, according to Korea JoongAng Daily. BigHit Music confirmed the Spotify achievement in a statement, noting the track's growing international impact. Don't Say You Love Me is the lead track from Jin's second solo EP Echo. It explores 'the ironic complexities of a crumbling relationship, where — despite the evident breakdown — the lovers find themselves unable to easily let go due to their lingering affection,' Korea JoongAng Daily reported. This marks Jin's third solo appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, following The Astronaut in 2022 and Running Wild in 2023. The song also reached No. 58 on Britain's Official Singles Chart Top 100. Jin is scheduled to hold his first solo concert, '#RunSeokjin_EP.Tour,' at Goyang Stadium on June 28 and 29. He will then tour nine cities including Chiba, Osaka, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London and Amsterdam. Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, is the eldest member of BTS and is known for his emotive vocals and songwriting. He resumed his solo activities in May after completing his military service in South Korea.

BTS Star Jin Dominates iTunes With His New Remix EP

BTS singer Jin released his second solo project, Echo, on Friday (May 16). While the short effort surely won't hit No. 1 in America — that honor is going to I'm the Problem by Morgan Wallen — he is clearly looking to collect another big hit on the Billboard charts. The South Korean superstar dropped multiple new takes of his single 'Don't Say You Love Me' on Tuesday (May 20), and fans in the United States are showing their love for the singer by snapping up each and every one of them. Jin's 'Don't Say You Love Me' remix EP includes the original tune and its instrumental, as well as half a dozen reworkings. These tracks are named things like lo-fi, disco, synthwave, '90s pop, and future pop — each speaking to the style they emulate, while still adding his same vocals to new production. Every one of those tracks is a bestselling cut on iTunes in the U.S. As of the time of writing, the original 'Don't Say You Love Me' is Jin's top performer, as it bolts more than a dozen spots to settle at No. 16. The other newly-shared takes – minus the instrumental, at least so far – are also present on the tally. The highest-ranking among them is the '90s pop remix, which currently sits at No. 54. Jin's lowest-ranking placement among the 'Don't Say You Love Me' edits is the synthwave remix, which appears at No. 84. The excitement around the Don't Say You Love Me remix EP has also helped the other tunes featured on Echo become bestsellers as well. Jin currently occupies 13 spaces on the 200-spot ranking of the bestselling tracks throughout the U.S. on iTunes. All of them come from Echo, and many are versions of 'Don't Say You Love Me.' In an effort to make Echo a better seller, Jin also delivered new versions of the EP itself. Three new additions were released digitally, and each comes with two of the 'Don't Say You Love Me' remixes in addition to the traditional tracklist. Two of those drops are present on the iTunes Top Albums list, with the original Echo holding steady in the runner-up space, while Echo (+1dB) looks like it is about to crack the top 20. When it comes to the Billboard charts, all remixes and slightly-altered editions of albums are lumped together under one title. That means there's incentive for artists to deliver multiple versions of the same project or track — and for superfans to keep buying in an effort to help their favorite musical act score a big chart win.

BTS' Jin's Singapore music video: Here are all the filming locations for Don't Say You Love Me

After days of anticipation, BTS member Jin finally dropped the music video for his latest song Don't Say You Love Me on Friday (May 16). The song serves as the first single off Jin's new mini-album Echo. Armys, especially those in Singapore, have been eagerly waiting for the track after it was revealed that its music video was filmed primarily in Singapore. Now that it's out, here are all the filming spots in Don't Say You Love Me for Armys around the world to visit the next time they're in Singapore. 1. Goldhill Plaza Don't Say You Love Me starts with a shot on the roof of Goldhill Plaza. In fact, most of the car scenes in the video were filmed at this spot. The office tower is located near Novena MRT station and is surrounded by several popular food spots. Address: 1 Goldhill Plaza, Singapore 308899 2. Marina Bay Residences In this scene where he looks forlornly at a letter seemingly left by his love interest, Jin appears to be in Marina Bay Residences – judging by the interior of the room. Unfortunately, Marina Bay Residences is an apartment complex – a pretty nice one, at that. So unless you know an Army who's staying in a unit here, chances of you entering Jin's home in the video are pretty low. Address: 18 Marina Boulevard, Singapore 018980 3. National Gallery Singapore Many scenes in Don't Say You Love Me take place in Singapore's National Gallery. The museum has the world's largest public collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian modern art, with over 8,000 pieces – so Armys will definitely want to visit this iconic space. General admission is free for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents and S$20 for tourists. Address: 1 St Andrew's Road, Singapore 178957 4. Keng Eng Kee Seafood In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Jin's love interest – played by actress Shin Se-kyung – can be seen dining at the Bukit Merah outlet of popular seafood franchise Keng Eng Kee. The family-run zi char joint is known for its Hainanese and Cantonese-style seafood dishes like chilli crab, coffee pork ribs and salted egg squid. The chain is regarded as one of the top food places in Singapore and has been featured in numerous international F&B guides. Address: 124 Bukit Merah Lane 1, #01-136, Singapore 150124 5. Emerald Hill In another blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Shin Se-kyung can be seen exploring the Emerald Hill neighbourhood. Once a 19th-century nutmeg plantation, the enclave now boasts restored Peranakan shophouses with intricate Chinese Baroque architecture. The area has also recently received a burst of popularity, thanks to the success of the Mediacorp drama of the same name. 6. Gardens by the Bay There are also several scenes set at Gardens by the Bay, more specifically, the Cloud Forest. For potential first-time visitors, do note that while entry to the larger Gardens by the Bay area is free, you'll need to pay upwards of S$12 to enter Cloud Forest, depending on your residency status. Address: 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953 7. Anderson Bridge If you're looking to recreate this dramatic running scene, simply head to Anderson Bridge near the Singapore River. The pedestrian bridge opened in 1910, making it one of Singapore's signature monuments. Address: Fullerton Road, Singapore 049212 8. Singapore Flyer Lastly, we have Singapore's iconic Singapore Flyer. Marvel at Singapore's beautiful skyline in one of the spacious gondolas at this attraction. Tickets cost S$40 per adult and S$25 per child. Address: 30 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039803 So if you're an Army visiting Singapore for the next concert by a BTS member (or hopefully OT7), be sure to check out all these spots to complete your pilgrimage. In a statement to CNA Lifestyle, Serene Tan, Singapore Tourism Board's executive director (North Asia), said that the partnership with BTS' agency Big Hit Music is part of the organisation's branded entertainment strategy which leverages on the trend "where travellers are inspired to visit locations featured in content by their favourite artistes". "The Singapore Tourism Board's partnership with Big Hit Music is a unique opportunity to showcase Singapore's distinctive cityscape and landmarks as a compelling backdrop for branded entertainment content, increasing destination awareness and encouraging visits to Singapore," said Tan.

BTS' Jin runs into love interest at Singapore's National Gallery in new teaser video for upcoming song

It looks like we were right: BTS member Jin did shoot a music video in Singapore. On Tuesday night (May 13), the 32-year-old dropped the official teaser trailer for his upcoming music video, Don't Say You Love Me, which features a familiar Singapore icon: The National Gallery. The teaser video comes days after the launch of a game that requires fans to input the right string of numbers to "call" Jin and unlock a picture. Some of the pictures that have been unlocked feature Singapore landmarks, such as Gardens by the Bay and the Singapore Flyer, prompting speculation that Jin's upcoming mini album, Echo, would involve Singapore in some capacity. Thanks to Tuesday's teaser, we now know that parts of Don't Say You Love Me's music video were filmed in Singapore. The 37-second-long video shows Jin walking around the Padang Atrium in the National Gallery before coming face-to-face with South Korean actress Shin Se-kyung, who plays his love interest.
