Rain with a high near 76 forecast Thursday for Juneteenth celebrations in Mansfield
Juneteenth will be warm and rainy in Mansfield.
Showers are expected throughout the morning Thursday, according to Douglas Kahn, a meteorologist who works in the Cleveland office of the National Weather Service.
"Anywhere from half an inch to an inch," Kahn said. "I can't really give you like an exact amount ... it really depends on where the strongest cells are."
Thursday morning's storms are expected to follow a night of rain that was forecast to begin about 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The rain showers Thursday will likely be short and will leave North Central Ohio by lunchtime.

"Looks like they just kind of pass through," Kahn said. "Looks like the rain chances decrease later afternoon into the evening."
The afternoon for Juneteenth will likely be dry, but still partly cloudy.
"I have not looked at the cloud cover for tomorrow," Kahn said.
A weather report from AccuWeather predicts that Thursday afternoon in Mansfield will be partly sunny with a high near 76 degrees.
Scattered showers are possible throughout the afternoon Thursday.
The day should be slightly breezy with wind gusts up to 30 mph.
