Highland emergency services raced to the scene on the A87 at Loch Cluanie after the alarm was raised at around 11.25am on Friday, June 6. Officers were responding to reports of a crash involving a Yamaha motorbike, the Daily Record reports. The 29-year-old male rider was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he sadly later died. Police are now appealing for information. Three people rushed to hospital after horror motorbike crash on Highland road
Emergency services raced to the A832, near Dundonnell, after the alarm was raised at around 11am on Thursday. Three people have been rushed to hospital after two motorbikes collided in a horror crash in the Highlands. Emergency services raced to the A832, near Dundonnell, after the alarm was raised at around 11am on Thursday, June 5. Officers were responding to reports of a crash involving a Kawasaki motorbike and a BMW motorbike. Ambulance crews attended and the 51-year-old male rider of the Kawasaki, the 56-year-old male rider of the BMW and his 64-year-old female passenger were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment. The condition of the three currently remains unknown. Sergeant Douglas Scott said: 'Our enquiries are continuing into this crash and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to contact us. 'I would also ask any drivers on the road with dashcam from around the time of the crash to review their footage and please contact us if it holds anything relevant. Cyclist taken to hospital after van collision in Inverness
The crash happened in Inverness at the junction of Castle Street with Culduthel Road and View Place, with police saying they were called to the incident at about 9.45am on Friday. Emergency services attended and the 37-year-old male cyclist was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford Transit, a 43-year-old man, was uninjured. The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out. Cyclist rushed to hospital after horror crash with car in Inverness
A 37-year-old male cyclist has been hospitalised in a collision with a car. A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after a horror crash with a car in Inverness this morning. At around 9.45am today (Friday, May 9), emergency personnel raced to the junction of Castle Street with Culduthel Road and View Place in the city after receiving a report of a collision involving a cyclist and a Ford Transit vehicle. Upon attending, a 37-year-old male cyclist was rushed to Raigmore Hospital. The 43-year-old male driver of the Ford Transit was uninjured. Images from the scene show a police cordon in place with officers on site. The road was closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to conduct their enquiries. Officers are also checking for any relevant CCTV footage. Road Policing Sergeant Douglas Scott said: 'I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who may have seen anything to get in touch with us. "If you have any recording equipment, please check your footage and pass on any relevant images to us.' Earlier today, in a separate incident, we reported that a cyclist who died after being knocked down by a van on a road in West Lothian has been named as Daniel Corr from Livingston. Emergency services raced to the A70, near Harburn in West Calder, after the alarm was raised at around 8.45am on Friday, May 2. Officers from Police Scotland were responding to reports of a crash involving a white Vauxhall van and a cyclist. Ambulance crews attended but the 65-year-old male cyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland said enquiries "remain ongoing" following the fatal crash. The force previously said that they were searching for the driver of a silver or grey pick-up truck to assist with their enquiries and appealed for the person to come forward. Sergeant Fraser Mitchell said earlier this week: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died. Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. "As our investigation progresses, it has now been established that a silver or grey pick-up style vehicle was in the area around the time of the crash. 'It is possible that the driver may have information that would assist our enquiries and I would ask that they come forward.' 'I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash who hasn't already spoken to officers to get in touch. I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.' Cyclist, 37, taken to hospital after Inverness city centre crash
A man has been taken to hospital following an Inverness city centre crash. At around 9.45am on Friday, police were called after a crash at the junction of Castle Street with Culduthel Road and View Place. The collision involved a cyclist and a Ford Transit vehicle.
