Mayor Mobolade to sign proclamation for Purple Up! Day
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mayor Yemi Mobolade plans to celebrate military children on Friday, April 25, with a proclamation recognizing April 2025 as the Month of the Military Child and Purple Up! Day in Colorado Springs.
Purple Up! Day is designed to honor the strength, resilience, and contribution of the city's military-connected children and their families. The color purple was chosen as it is a combination of colors representing all branches of the military.
On Friday, Mayor Mobolade will sign the proclamation at Douglass Valley Elementary, located on the U.S. Air Force Academy.
