Dr. Squatch Just Turned ‘Euphoria' Star Sydney Sweeney's Bathwater Into a Bar of Soap
The Emmy-nominated Euphoria star and everyone's favorite internet crush is getting up close and personal with your shower routine thanks to a brand-new bar of Dr. Squatch soap made with her actual bathwater. Yes, the water she literally bathed in. (Filtered, of course.) It's a limited-edition bar called Sydney's Bathwater Bliss and it's every bit as wild as it sounds.
In case you missed it, went viral last year as the 'Dr. Squatch Body Wash Genie,' granting wishes for guys ready to ditch chemical-heavy products in favor of natural soap. One of those fan wishes? Her bathwater. Naturally.
'When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,' Sydney joked. 'It's weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that's not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible.'
According to the brand, Sydney's Bathwater Bliss is infused with exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, and yes, a secret ingredient, a splash of her bathwater. The scent is a blend of pine, Douglas fir, and earthy moss, described as a mix of the great outdoors and, well… Sydney's tub. The natural 'bricc,' as Dr. Squatch calls it, is part of their ongoing campaign to get guys to upgrade their grooming habits with ingredients they can actually pronounce. But this one goes even further. Sydney wanted to give fans something completely unexpected and she delivered.
Only 5,000 bars of the soap will be made, making this a true collector's item. Dr. Squatch is launching a giveaway from Thursday, May 29 at 12:00 p.m. EST through Thursday, June 5 at 11:59 p.m. PST, where 100 lucky fans will win a free bar. You can enter via Instagram or on the Dr. Squatch website. The soap officially goes on sale Friday, June 6 at 9 a.m. PT while supplies last.
'There's no playbook for turning Sydney Sweeney's actual bathwater into a bar of soap,' said John Ludeke, SVP of Global Marketing at Dr. Squatch. 'But that's exactly why we did it. This bar is bizarre, unexpected, and meant to get guys thinking more deeply about what they're putting on their bodies.'
To take it even further, the brand is launching scented billboard placements in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago that actually smell like the soap because of course they are. Plus, fans can expect meme-worthy content to take over social media in the days ahead.
At 27 years old, Sydney is having a major moment. Along with this viral campaign, she's starring in the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller Echo Valley opposite Julianne Moore, and Eden, a survival drama directed by Ron Howard. She's also still riding high from the surprise success of Anyone But You, her rom-com hit with Glen Powell that had fans swooning (and speculating).
While this may be one of Dr. Squatch's boldest launches yet, it's not their first celebrity stunt. In 2023, the brand made headlines with its Travis Kelce campaign, encouraging guys to 'get dirty, then get clean the Squatch way.' Since then, they've leaned hard into meme culture and unexpected partnerships making Sydney's bathwater bar on brand.
So whether you're into limited-edition collectibles, just really love Sydney or genuinely want a bar of soap that smells like a Pacific Northwest forest with a splash of celebrity bathwater, you might want to check it out.
