Education Ministry launches interactive English language textbook project
Muscat: The Ministry of Education today launched the Interactive English Language Textbook Project for grades one to six, under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Education for Education. The launch ceremony highlighted the project's objectives and implementation mechanism, featuring an introductory video on the interactive English textbooks' content. The materials include interactive activities, games, digital assessments, and audiovisual resources designed to make learning more engaging. This was followed by a video showcasing feedback and real-life experiences from teachers, students, and parents regarding the new textbooks. The Undersecretary stated: 'The launch of the Interactive English Textbook Project reflects the Ministry's commitment to enhancing English language instruction. Starting with grades one to six in collaboration with the implementation company, these books incorporate interactive elements such as dialogues and audio exercises to boost student engagement. This initiative aims to improve learning outcomes, helping students grasp English language concepts and skills effectively. The Ministry will continue expanding the project to cover grades seven and eight, eventually extending it through grade twelve.'

Oman participates in 37th meeting of heads of GCC Olympic Committees
Muscat: Represented by Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), the Sultanate of Oman participated in the 37th meeting of heads of GCC Olympic Committees, held in Kuwait today. Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Deputy Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. The meeting looked into the report filed by the organizing committee of the 3rd GCC Beach Games (Muscat 2025) held in Muscat Governorate from 5 to 11 April 2025. The meeting's participants expressed thanks and gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for the efforts it made to ensure the success of the the 3rd GCC Beach Games.
