Janelle Brown is reflecting on her ongoing grieving process as she marks the first anniversary of her son Garrison Brown's death. The "Sister Wives" star took to Instagram on March 5 to acknowledge the somber anniversary. "I stay busy but in EVERY quiet moment you are first and foremost in my thoughts. It's been a year baby. We miss you so much. I miss you so much," she captioned the post. The mother of six went on to ask her followers to do something positive in her son's memory. "I encourage everyone reading this to consider making a donation to your local animal shelter, rescue, or humane society. This cause was close to Garrison's heart — he adopted all three of his cats from shelters," she wrote. The proud mother shared a photo of her son holding one of his cats and overlaid it with the following quote from his favorite movie, "Dragonheart:" 'To the stars, Bowen, to the stars.' After Garrison Brown's death, several of his siblings got tattoos with a version of the quote. Janelle Brown ended her post by sharing resources for anyone who may be struggling with their mental health. "If you are in crisis, please call, text or chat with the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988, or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741," she wrote. On March 5, 2024, police in Flagstaff, Arizona told NBC News Garrison Brown appeared to have died by suicide. He was 25 years old. Over the past year, Janelle Brown has shared several tributes to her son on Instagram. Her friend and former sister wife, Christine Brown Woolley, also commemorated the first anniversary of his passing on March 5. "I found a video of Garrison helping me move and watched it so many times. My heart aches without him and every photo, video, memory, joke, story with him in it is infinitely more precious than ever. Gosh, I miss him. I can't believe he's been dead for a year," she captioned the post. Brown Woolley shared several photos of Garrison Brown with her own children from over the years plus one of him from her 2023 wedding to David Woolley. Garrison Brown was one of six children Janelle Brown shares with her ex-husband Kody Brown. One of those adult children, Madison Brown Brush, also acknowledged the anniversary of her brother's passing with her own Instagram tribute. "A whole 365 days without you. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you, Garrison. In the quiet moments between the noise of life, I think of you often. I hope and pray you've found peace, rest, and the comfort that eluded you here," she captioned the post. "Until we meet again, little brother." Brown Brush shared several phots with her late brother, including one where they laughed as they compared belly bumps while she was pregnant. Mykelti Padron, one of the six children Brown Woolley shares with Kody Brown, shared her mother's Instagram tribute in her Instagram story and added the caption "Love you forever Bro! Miss you." She also posted a photo of her daughter with Garrison Brown with the caption, "It's been a year without you little bro, miss ya!" Woolley Brown's son Paedon Brown shared his mother and Janelle Brown's posts on his own Instagram story. Leon Brown, the child of Kody and Meri Brown, posted a photo with Garrison Brown along with the following caption: "I miss you more each passing day, it doesn't get easier, it just gets longer."
