Interstate 85 North crash shuts down lanes in Davidson County
DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Multiple lanes of Interstate 85 North in Davidson County are closed as a result of a crash on Saturday afternoon,
The crash occurred around Mile Marker 87 just ahead of where US 29 forks away from I-85 near the Davidson County Airport.
Traffic camera footage from shows a tractor-trailer sitting in multiple lanes of the road askew and multiple cars in the grass off the shoulder.
Three of the four lanes of the highway are currently closed.
Traffic camera footage also shows congestion beginning on I-85 North back towards Mile Marker 86 near Belmont Road.
There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
